This commit leaves behind just enough Old Mongo (DraftModulestore)
functionality to allow read-only access to static assets and the
root CourseBlock. It removes:
* create/update operations
* child/parent traversal
* inheritance related code
It also removes or converts tests for this functionality.
The ability to read from the root CourseBlock was maintained for
backwards compatibility, since top-level course settings are often
stored here, and this is used by various parts of the codebase,
like displaying dashboards and re-building CourseOverview models.
Any attempt to read the contents of a course by getting the
CourseBlock's children will return an empty list (i.e. it will look
empty).
This commit does _not_ delete content on MongoDB or run any sort of
data migration or cleanup.
This is intended to silence a rare false positive that seems to happen
when someone logs in on a browser that already has an active session
for another user. We believe there should be no further positives once
this case is handled.
- login and logout views annotate the response to indicate the session
user should be changing between the request and response phases
- safe-sessions middleware skips the verify-user check when this
annotation is present
Also:
- Adds a test around existing behavior for unexpected user-changes
- Remove logging control based on `is_from_log_out`. This reverts most
of af9e26f/PR #11479 for two reasons:
- The safe-sessions `_verify_user` code has since changed to check for
`request.user.id == None`
- A commit later in the PR changes the login and logout pages to
signal that the user/session change is expected

TEST_DATA_MIXED_MODULESTORE
Remove these test mixed modulestores:
TEST_DATA_MIXED_TOY_MODULESTORE
TEST_DATA_MIXED_CLOSED_MODULESTORE
TEST_DATA_MIXED_GRADED_MODULESTORE
The existing pattern of using `override_settings(MODULESTORE=...)` prevented
us from having more than one layer of subclassing in modulestore tests.
In a structure like:
@override_settings(MODULESTORE=store_a)
class BaseTestCase(ModuleStoreTestCase):
def setUp(self):
# use store
@override_settings(MODULESTORE=store_b)
class ChildTestCase(BaseTestCase):
def setUp(self):
# use store
In this case, the store actions performed in `BaseTestCase` on behalf of
`ChildTestCase` would still use `store_a`, even though the `ChildTestCase`
had specified to use `store_b`. This is because the `override_settings`
decorator would be the innermost wrapper around the `BaseTestCase.setUp` method,
no matter what `ChildTestCase` does.
To remedy this, we move the call to `override_settings` into the
`ModuleStoreTestCase.setUp` method, and use a cleanup to remove the override.
Subclasses can just defined the `MODULESTORE` class attribute to specify which
modulestore to use _for the entire `setUp` chain_.

This commit updates lms/djangoapps/courseware.
These keys are now objects with a limited interface, and the particular
internal representation is managed by the data storage layer (the
modulestore).
For the LMS, there should be no outward-facing changes to the system.
The keys are, for now, a change to internal representation only. For
Studio, the new serialized form of the keys is used in urls, to allow
for further migration in the future.

Previously, whenever a XModule was created from a XDescriptor, we
created another level of nesting of FieldData objects. This change
prevents that nesting.
